Queen's Park Precinct

Queen's Park is 26 hectares of heritage listed parklands literally just across the road from Toowoomba's CBD & at Easter it becomes the epicentre of the festival.

Venues for everybody...

The Queen's Park festival precinct is full of world class performance venues that cater for almost every taste.

At Chai Circle you can listen to great acoustic folk over a cup of chai tea or head up to the Epicentre for a wide selection of food & all the pop, blues & jazz you can handle.  The 6000 capacity Big Top venue is completely undercover in a supertent nearly the size of a football field & if hardcore or heavy metal are more to your liking there are late nights in the Alley.

Check out the 'More Than Music' page of the website & look out for the "Park Precinct" stamp for an overview of all the venues & more.

MAINSTAGE!

The premier venue of the festival is also found in Queen's Park.  Mainstage is an outdoor amphitheatre with room for up to 15,000 people who cram in every night to see amazing artists from Australia & across the globe.

In recent years Mainstage attendees have witnessed world exclusive reunion shows from Audio Adrenaline & PC3, Switchfoot performing in the teeming rain (for the tenacious ones who stayed!), Australian Idol Stan Walker, Newsobys with BOTH Peter Furler AND their first Aussie show with Michael Tait while also discovering new favorites like Newworldson, Article One or Rapture Ruckus...plus so much more!

Music Is Only The Beginning...

There is no lack of music in Queen's Park over the Easter weekend but that's not all you will find to keep you occupied.

If you like EXTREME SPORTS then you will love JC Epidemic with their crazy BMX & skateboard stunts & antics.  SIDESHOW ALLEY is where you will find games, showbags and great cheap rides - this year there was even a ferris wheel providing the best possible view of the festival site.

Be sure to grab CDs & shirts from your favorite artists at the MERCH STORE before heading off to ARTIST SIGNINGS to ensure you have a really personal souvenir of the festival.  If you love to shop there is no need to stop there - head to the LIFELINE BARGAIN BAZAAR & kit yourself out for the Fancy Pants Ball.

Easterfest for KIDS...

Giant Sand Pit!  You'd think that would be enough really...seriously, there is a GIANT sand pit!  But we don't stop there with an entire world inside Queen's Park dedicated to making sure the kids also have an amazing time at Easterfest.

Theatre sports, arts & crafts, treasure hunts, games, Nintendo Wii, Vegetales movies & a jumping castle are just some of what you can expect to find at Easterfest Kids in 2012...also, did we mention that there is a GIANT SAND PIT?  On top of all that there is a live entertainment stage so keep your eyes open for upcoming announcements on great live kids entertainment as well.

Camping in the CBD? We can do that...

Where else can 5000 people camp literally just across the road from the CBD of a major regional city?  You may not be able to park you car next to your tent or cook at your campsite but you will be right where the action is.  With more toilets & hot showers than ever before, an improved general store & central cooking facilities provided the limited space is likely to book out early.

Check HERE for info on camping & how to purchase camping tickets.
